GLWA 14 Mile/Drake Water Main Break Update 12/03/2021

“GLWA Field Service Crews and their contractors continue to work diligently to implement repairs to the transmission main break along 14 Mile Road. Given that a 1.5-mile section of the main was isolated and dewatered, GLWA has taken this opportunity to conduct a condition assessment of the pipe, which included a detailed physical inspection. As a result of this inspection, GLWA has identified some additional work that will improve the life-cycle of the main, which will extend the repair timeline through at least the end of the year. Throughout this repair process, impacted communities will continue to have water flow at the level they have been experiencing since the main broke. More details on these repairs will be provided the week of December 6th.”
