NOTICE: Public Hearing for 2019 Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) rules
The Great Lakes Water Authority proposes to enact and implement the 2019 Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) Rules.
The IPP is a program for enforcement of local pollution controls in accordance with the objectives of the Clean Water Act. The draft IPP Rules were developed in coordination with a stakeholder group with representatives from local municipalities, the environmental sector, Chamber of Commerce and commercial industry. The proposed Rules reflect recent state and federal requirements enacted pursuant to the Clean Water Act.
GLWA is undertaking this outreach effort to provide the public with information that will help better protect health and environment and shape the regulatory program for monitoring industrial wastes.
Please be advised a Public Hearing on the 2019 IPP Rules is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2019 during the GLWA Board meeting at 1 p.m. at 735 Randolph Street 5th Floor, Detroit, Michigan.
